He is an industry leader in Cosmetic Laser technology, a selected Training Physician for many of the well known injectables including Restylane, Juvederm, Botox and Dysport as a top-tier trainer for the Fraxel laser systems. Dr. Pilest is an active Assistant Professor for the Dermatology Department at the University of Irvine where he teaches Dermatology residents on a weekly basis. As an active member in the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, a Fellow for the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and advanced trainer for the use of injectables and lasers, Dr. Pilest is a frequent collaborator with major technology development companies and product development industrial leaders such as Allergan and Medicis. He has practiced in Orange County since 1979 as Medical Director of Total Dermatology.
